Global Customer Capabilities Senior Manager
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Congress TA Lead will oversee the therapeutic area portfolio of Congresses and ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The TA Lead will be responsible for leading project managers, coordinating cross-functional activities, and implementing best practices for project management. The TA Lead will also work closely with senior management to align Congress outcomes with strategic business objectives.
Project Leadership and Strategy:
Lead and manage project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Develop and implement project management strategies and methodologies that align with TA goals.
Ensure projects are aligned with the strategic direction of the TA and deliver value to the business.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of multiple Congresses across various functions.
Manage TA Congress portfolios, ensuring prioritization and resource allocation are in line with business objectives.
Monitor and report on Congress progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance Congress efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain/n project management standards, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct regular Congress audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established processes and methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of Congress goals and expectations.
Facilitate partner meetings, presentations, and status updates.
Manage partner expectations and negotiate changes to Congress scope, schedule, and resources as needed.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify and handle risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Ensure timely resolution of issues and conflicts.
Monitor and control Congress budgets, ensuring financial discipline and accountability.
Team Development:
Develop a collaborative and hard-working project team environment.
Provide training and development opportunities for project managers and team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to project managers.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of direct work experience in project management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Consistent track record of successfully handling complex projects and leading project teams.
Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and Microsoft Project.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and partner management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Strategic problem solver with the ability to see the big picture and align projects with business objectives.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Collaborative and inclusive, with a strong focus on team development and success.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
