Senior Associate Paralegal, Corporate Litigation
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for all aspects of paralegal support for our Corporate Litigation Group. You will act as a trusted liaison between internal stakeholders and outside counsel, and interface with colleagues across Amgen, in various functions and geographies. With your attention to detail, organizational skills, and collegial approach, you’ll be an integral member of Amgen’s in-house litigation team.
- Provide paralegal support for all aspects of corporate litigation, including discovery, document management and control, witness/custodian interviews, updating case status in tracking systems, maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and trial preparation and support.
- Collaborate with attorneys to evaluate and respond to subpoenas, including document and data collection from various database systems and company sources.
- Support and maintain Amgen’s service of process operations.
- Conduct due diligence investigations for various parts of Amgen’s business.
- Conduct and analyze conflict checks for new and ongoing matters.
- Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional litigation support involving domestic and international matters.
- Create and maintain litigation tools in Office 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, to streamline legal workflows.
- Mentor junior paralegals and administrative staff, fostering collaboration, collegiality, and excellence.
- Work with other teams in Amgen’s Law Department to streamline processes for data analysis, invoice review, and case support.
- Review outside vendor invoices and billings for accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all legal operations.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of paralegal experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 6 years of paralegal experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of paralegal experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- 7+ years of relevant paralegal experience in complex civil litigation, either in a firm or in-house setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Relativity, Team Connect matter management system, and CounselLink billing system
- Deep understanding of legal terminology, principles, and litigation lifecycle
- Outstanding judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly across global teams and with in-house and external attorneys
- Prior experience with trial preparation and discovery management
- Familiarity with Amgen’s legal systems, databases, and compliance procedures
- Ability to travel as needed

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
