Obesity Forecasting, Associate Director
The Obesity Forecasting Associate Director will lead forecasting for the Obesity brand. This role will report to the Obesity Forecasting Director within the Obesity Intelligence & Analytics organization in Thousand Oaks, United States.
Specifically, this person will:
Provide an objective and rigorous point of view to demand forecasting and product performance, while collaborating with disciplines including forecasting/insights, marketing, finance, value and access and other functions.
Lead the development of the obesity forecasts and ad-hoc forecasting requests
Perform analyses and assessments in the area of product performance relative to expectations, estimating revenue potential, sales coverage, market size, penetration etc.
Leveraging various physician, patient, and transactional internal and external data sets (Xponent, NPA, LAAD, 852, etc.) to develop and explain forecast assumptions.
Supporting the Quarterly Business Review, Situation Analysis, and Brand Plan by providing objective, data-driven insights
Coordinate with marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams to develop analytics and forecasting inputs and assumptions.
Work with clients in the assigned team(s) to develop service level agreements outlining forecasting/analytics requirements and deliverables.
Independently lead quick turnaround projects and deliver quality assessments, collaborating with Senior Leadership with limited guidance or oversight.
Demonstrate strong project management, prioritization and timeline execution across projects when working independently as well as when working with the vendors or internal teams.
Manage professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, MS PowerPoint & Excel skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
OR
Master’s degree and 5 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 12 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of forecasting, market research, or business analytics experience
Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient based forecast modeling including dynamic patient models, and common forecasting tools such as Forecast Pro
Proficiency in SQL, and experience working with analytics tools like SAS, or R
Experience in developing marketing analytics using visualization tools such as Tableau
Working knowledge of forecasting inputs and structure, global access and reimbursement policies, and competitive environment and potential impact on product development and commercialization strategy
Strong oral, written and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
Strong project management skills—able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time
Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client service orientation
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment
Good understanding of the latest developments in the biopharmaceutical industry, and unmet medical needs and opportunities in the assigned therapeutic area
Broad, working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databases
Demonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
Business analytics or forecasting experience in the biopharmaceutical or other healthcare industries

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
