Graphic Designer
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs that effectively communicate Amgen’s messages across a variety of mediums. You will work closely with our multi-faceted team to develop and execute designs that give visual understanding to complicated topics.
Develop creative concepts and design solutions that align with Amgen’s branding guidelines and communication goals.
Create engaging and impactful motion graphics and animations for videos, websites, and social media platforms.
Design print collateral such as brochures, flyers, and posters that effectively communicate Amgen’s messages.
Develop engaging and professional PowerPoint presentations for internal clients.
Collaborate with our team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design solutions.
Stay up-to-date with design trends, software, and technology.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate Degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of Graphic Design experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Graphic Design experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Graphic Design experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Graphic Design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience at agency or in-house design team with a focus on graphic design and print.
Experience supporting studio and production teams in developing executive-facing content, including video, photography, and branded communications assets.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), PowerPoint, and other design tools.
Demonstrated experience leading creative development for enterprise-level brands, including the ability to translate complex business objectives into compelling visual communication systems and brand narratives.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while collaborating cross-functionally.
Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and executives in fast-paced production environments to create polished, on-brand content.
Experience in developing high-quality executive communications and presentation materials under tight deadlines using PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign.
Strong understanding of brand governance, visual identity systems, typography, color theory, layout principles, and accessibility standards
A portfolio that showcases exceptional design skills.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
