Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be at the forefront of digital transformation in the biopharmaceutical industry. This team provides thought leadership and enhances capabilities for a data based workflow, digital threads and digital twins.
The Data Automation Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation by driving the development, integration, and adoption of digital automation across enterprise platforms, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), and enterprise data platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital solutions while maintaining the digital thread across engineering testing, laboratory operations, and data analytics to ensure seamless data integration, accessibility, and traceability.
You will also partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, optimize workflows, and deliver scalable digital capabilities.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for automated test data collection from digital laboratory, electronic lab notebook (ELN) and testing solutions.
Lead the implementation, adoption, support, and continuous improvement of digital data capture capabilities.
Ensure collection of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) laboratory and engineering data by promoting data integrity, standardization, metadata management, and data governance across enterprise systems.
Maintain the digital thread by integrating design, verification testing, and laboratory data across the product lifecycle to improve traceability, accessibility, and collaboration.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, optimize laboratory workflows, validate system enhancements, and deliver scalable digital solutions.
Drive digital transformation and user adoption by performing system testing, delivering end-user training, managing enhancement requests, and ensuring compliance with Design Control, GMP, GDP, and applicable quality requirements.
Query, analyze, and visualize laboratory and engineering data to generate actionable insights, improve process performance, and support data-driven decision making.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Data Scientist/Engineering experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 6 years of Data Scientist/Engineering experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Data Scientist/Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Degree. in engineering, Mechanical, Biomedical, bioengineering or Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
1–2 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industry.
Experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), such as Biova Onelab, 3DExperience, or similar enterprise digital platforms.
Experience leading or supporting the implementation, rollout, and adoption of digital tools and laboratory workflows.
Experience supporting engineering verification testing, laboratory operations, or product development activities in a regulated environment.
Working knowledge of the automation of laboratory test equipment engineering data .
Knowledge of Design Control, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP, and applicable regulatory requirements for medical devices and combination products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to query, analyze, interpret, and communicate data-driven insights.
Proficiency in SQL, Python (R is a plus), and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau to query, analyze, visualize, and communicate data-driven insights.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable digital solutions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
