Contracts & Pricing Strategy Sr Mgr, Denosumab

In this vital role you will be responsible for the development and execution of the payer coverage and contracting strategy for denosumab. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights, innovative pricing & contracting solutions and nimble execution to create a competitive advantage for denosumab.

Other job responsibilities will include developing plans to support Amgen's longer term contracting & pricing strategy and providing senior management with recommendations and updates.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Conduct appropriate analyses and develop pricing and contracting recommendations that are aligned with the brand plan and competitive market dynamics
  • Work with a cross functional team to lead the development and delivery of multiple contracts with key customers including payers and managed care organizations
  • Partner with our field based Market Access team to proactively support payer engagements and gather latest insights
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Patient Access, and Value & Access Insights teams to support payer coverage communications and materials
  • Track competitor activity in the payer space and support dashboard activities
  • Drive payer insights and analysis for denosumab strategic planning, QBRs, forecasts, LEDR and LRS
  • Routinely interact with senior leadership and other high-level, cross functional committees or teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; proactively seeks buy-in and provides on-going support to address business needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and 4 years of experience in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

OR

  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in contracts and pricing, direct payor experience or value marketing and have a good foundational understanding of the US payor environment.

  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution.
  • Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity; ability to see the big picture; ability to collect, digest and assemble information to enable relevant business analyses
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles
  • Experience navigating the evolving U.S. healthcare system with specific interest on the changing payor landscape.
  • Exceptional written/oral communication skills and executive presence across functions and across different levels of leadership
