Reporting Relationship: Associate Marketing Director, Repatha DTC and HCP Omnichannel Marketing
What you will do

In this vital role the Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager for Cardiovascular (Repatha) will not only have a significant impact on the continued and future success of our US Cardiovascular business at Amgen, but also the lives the CV patients that can benefit from Repatha treatment. A key driver of new patient growth is our Direct-to-Consumer activities that educate consumers and build patient awareness for the risk of elevated LDL C and risk of heart events and the role that Repatha® may play for them.
The successful candidate will use & measure diverse elements of the marketing mix to deliver brand objectives. Critical to the role will be expanding in-depth understanding of consumers to shape a cohesive communication plan. The Sr Manager will be responsible for evolving the branded campaign & accompanying digital campaign, establishing a retargeting strategy that bridges consumers to branded promotions and continuously improving the effectiveness of the branded campaign.
This vital position provides a tremendous opportunity and will play an essential role in ensuring the commercial success of Repatha. In this position you will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners and will manage a direct report.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Lead insight-driven DTC communications strategy – in close collaboration with market research and agency partners to uncover deep insights and translate them to consumer-compelling creative and messaging that is well integrated across channels.
- Co-lead media strategy – oversee planning, placement and measurements/insights across key channels including TV, Digital, Social, Audio, point-of-care, patient education, Search and PR to support an innovation, powerful consumer engagement plan.
- Significant experience in content production (pre-production, shoot, post production) across traditional and novel channels – TV, Social, Digital, Print, others.
- Manage day-to-day oversight and execution of breakthrough branded campaign for general market and Multiculture, and partner with Global Media counterparts on media strategy and tactics.
- Co-lead marketing measurements to ensure continuous optimization. Translate media and other data sources into insight that informs actions.
- Collaborate with key partners including HCP Promo marketing, Patient Access, Corporate Communications, Advocacy, Scientific Communications, Global Commercial Capabilities, and Commercial Data and Analytics to ensure synergy with programming for healthcare professionals, customers, and consumers.
- Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant consumer communications.
- Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs.
- Create a winning, inclusive, and supportive team culture. Coach and develop staff and other team partners
- Domestic travel up to 30%.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
- Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
- Associate degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong marketing acumen with a solid grasp of marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development.
- Experience developing and executing a wide range of successful online and offline tactics, including Video, digital, print, video, and CRM.
- Translating market research into effective consumer campaigns or programs. Previous experience with clinical data a plus.
- Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with consumers by understanding their needs and desires.
- Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative.
- Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards.
- Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style
- Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.
- Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for pharmaceutical or regulated consumer goods or services.
