CD&A - Data Analytics Senior Manager, Rare Disease

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for delivering analytics and insights to the TAVNEOS leadership team. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and producing analyses using a wide range of data sources (e.g. claims data, specialty pharmacy data, demand data, electronic medical records data, etc) to provide internal partners with holistic, objective, and detailed insights to inform key business decisions.

This person must have a deep understanding of the techniques required to synthesize insights from multiple data sources and build an integrated picture of brand performance. They must be a hardworking champion of insights-driven strategy and objective evidence-based decision making and able to partner with the brand team to impactful recommendations.

This person should also be able to work across the analytics functions (Data Science, Forecasting, RAV, SFE, etc.) to look for new ways of working, alignments in efforts and ensure communication across the various functions.

This position will report to the Rare Disease Business Unit (RDBU) Director of Commercial Insights within Customer Data and Analytics (CD&A).

Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL office. You will work on-site a minimum of 2-3 days a week.

  • Develop and deliver analyses using complex data sources including HCP-level prescribing data, demand data, claims data, electronic medical records data, etc. to generate a detailed understanding of brand business and to drive investment decisions and define commercial strategies and tactics
  • Support key annual activities, including Quarterly Business Reviews, Forecasts, Business Cases and Sales Meetings by providing objective, data-driven insights
  • Work with the Brand and Sales leadership to help translate brand strategy into meaningful metrics that can be tracked by leadership
  • Generate and explain complex analysis plans and results to internal partners including, but not limited to, marketing, sales, finance, and pricing
  • Work cross-functionally with data science and data strategy teams to optimize data sources to deliver insights
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to prioritize business needs and enable effective delivery of analytics, ensuring compliance with all applicable SOPs
  • Enhance team capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools, internal and external best practices, new data sources, etc.
  • Support the creation of forecast models in partnership with forecasting colleagues, as well as build strong connections with the forecasting team

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated analytical skills—understands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain sophisticated concepts and controversial findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups
  • Project management skills and experience in prioritizing multiple responsibilities, tasks and projects, whilst simultaneously meeting multiple partner needs
  • Strong understanding of the latest developments in the biopharmaceutical industry, Health Care Providers’ drug decision-making processes, and/or DTC or Physician Relationship Marketing analytics
  • Solid understanding of marketing analytics in the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA Xponent, IQVIA, DDD/NPA/NSP, EMR, claims data etc.)
  • Experience with the various data sources/providers and the relative strengths/limitations of each
  • Expertise in database languages (e.g. SQL) and automated data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire)
  • Experience with advanced spreadsheets, modeling software, reporting software, and database design

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
