What you will do
TheGlobal Specialist IS Security Engineerserves as atechnical leader and decision-maker, architectural integrity, and operational resiliencefor manufacturing and automation systems acrossone or more sites or defined manufacturing capabilities. The role works with all site SSEs providingstrategic direction, technical authority, and operational leadership, influencing standards, design decisions, and long-term security posture while acting as a trusted advisor to site and enterprise leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight & Strategic Leadership
Provide support for manufacturing and automation systems to ensure operational and cybersecurity alignment.
Providestrategic oversightfor manufacturing and automation systems, ensuring cybersecurity is embedded by design and aligned with business priorities.
Act as asenior technical authorityand voting member of the Operations Design Review Board,approvingor rejecting high-risk designs and changes.
Maintain operational run-time documentation, including a site-specific asset inventory.
Ensure documentation and asset intelligencesupportscross-site visibility, risk analysis, and decision-making.
Cybersecurity Risk Management & Incident Leadership
Support the incident response process using the security technology stack.
Performroot cause analysis, drive systemic remediation, and ensure lessons learned are institutionalized across sites.
Identifyrisks,determineimpact and mitigations, and escalate issues to the Agile Release Train (ART).
Compliance, Standards & Architecture
Ensure adherence to network segmentation standards and cybersecurity best practices.
Define, refine, and operationalizemanufacturing cybersecurity standards, reference architectures, and secure design patterns.
Identifypolicy gaps and drive updates based on manufacturing and automation realities.
Conduct periodic reviews for cybersecurity compliance.
Leadcross-site compliance assessments, prioritizing remediation based on risk, criticality, and business impact.
Agile Release Train (ART) & Governance
Serve as asenior advisor to the Manufacturing Agile Release Train (ART), influencing roadmap planning, prioritization, and funding decisions for cybersecurity initiatives.
Disseminate periodic updates on MFG status and activities to relevant stakeholders.
Brief site and enterprise leadership onrisk posture, trends, and investment needs, enabling informed decision-making.
Mentorship & Capability Development
Mentor and coach junior SSEs and adjacent technical roles, serving as an escalation point for complex or ambiguous cybersecurity issues.
Contribute to onboarding, training materials, and communities of practice to elevate manufacturing cybersecurity maturity across the organization.

What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The information security professional we seek is a self-starter with these qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are preferred.
Advanced or domain-specific certifications (e.g., CISSP, ISA/IEC 62443, GIAC)arestrongly preferred.
3-4+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including OT, manufacturing, or regulated environments, withdemonstratedexperience leading complex initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and incident response.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical risk tosenior business and technical leadership.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
