WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this vital role you lead a high performing Corporate Affairs hub team encompassing external engagement (earned and social media), policy communications, and analytics and operations. You will be responsible for allocating specialist expertise within the hub to support Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Canada (ELMAC) affiliates.
As a key contributor to the evolution of Corporate Affairs within ELMAC, you will help shape and implement scalable solutions, drive operational excellence, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, while leading while leading daily operations of the hub team delivery for affiliates.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Develop and maintain an overall Corporate Affairs strategy, planning and governance framework to support the region and affiliates across ELMAC, working in close partnership with the Senior Director of ELMAC Corporate Affairs, to ensure all activities support positive impact to the business.
- Leverage innovative tools, data and insights to inform Corporate Affairs decision-making and stakeholder engagement across ELMAC.
- Support issues management, leaning in to provide scalable counsel or hands-on support when needed.
- Enable employee communications initiatives, including standardized programs that convey important updates and connectivity across internal audiences.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Minimum requirements
- Degree educated
- 7+years’ experience in strategy, planning, insights, communications, or operations within a large, complex organization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English – this role will operate primarily in English
Preferred requirements
- Strong expertise in analytics, audience research and performance measurement, including KPI development and reporting.
- Strong business and commercial acumen and understanding of biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare services.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated communications strategies in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Highly self-directed leader with a proven ability to operate independently, set direction and drive outcomes in rapidly changing environments.
- Cultural understanding and sensitivity, and ability to operate seamlessly across multiple markets.
- Think critically and proactively, solve problems creatively yet compliantly, and plan strategically.
- Proven track record in executive advisory roles, including supporting senior leaders
- Ability to navigate, adapt and evolve in a changing environment.
- Proficiency in Portuguese or another European language.

The expected gross pay range for this role in the posted location is EUR 79,000.00 to 106,000.00. Actual pay will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
