ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
Amgen is seeking a Workday Data Operations Manager and the role will report to the Associate Director HR Technology.
The successful incumbent will have previous managerial experience with extensive experience with HR administration to provide support to staff, managers and key HR stakeholders as a member of our service delivery team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop team of Data Operations Analysts. Establish best practices and ensure consistent execution of HR data processes
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex Workday issues, providing guidance and timely resolution
- Oversee Workday mass transactions, EIB loads, data corrections and reporting activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
- Perform regular audits and implement controls to maintain data integrity
- Monitor performance, stability, and reliability of Workday and related HR Systems
- Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
- Lead and participate in HR Technology projects and initiatives
- Ensure SLAs are met, and a positive user experience is delivered
- Maintain documentation, knowledgebases to support experience and scalability
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 years minimum experience in human resources with hands on experience with Workday
- 4 years’ experience managing an operations team that handles HR mass transactions
- Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of HR IS experience
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Workday including using tools such as EIBs, Mass Operation Management, data audits
- Experience in creating and using Workday reports
- 5+ years’ experience in human resources and corporate service center supporting Workday
- 4+ year’s experience managing an operations team that handles HR mass transactions

- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
