ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
Amgen, a global leader in the Life Sciences industry, isseekingexperiencedand hands-on SAP Warehouse Management (WM)/SRM (Stock Room Management)andExtended Warehouse Management (EWM) Architect to design, implement, and support innovative, compliant, and scalable warehouse solutions acrossAmgenworldwideclinicalmanufacturing and distribution network.
This position combines strategic design responsibilities with deep technical execution. The architect will be part of a high-performing team ofSAPWarehouse managementexperts, collaborating closely with peers to ensure global operational stability, share knowledge effectively, and take ownership of critical tasks as business priorities evolve.
You will play a pivotal role in balancing operational excellence with regulatory compliance—bringingmodern warehousing capabilities to life within the rigor of aGxP-regulated environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and optimize SAP EWM/WM solutions across Amgen’s global manufacturing, packaging, and distribution network.
Work as part of a global SAP WM/SRM/EWM expert team, providing coverage, technical leadership, and proactive support across multiple sites and time zones.
Maintain end-to-end documentation, including functional specs, technical designs, validation documentation, and test evidence, per Amgen’s quality and compliance standards (GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
Identifyand resolve data discrepancies between ERP and EWM (e.g., mismatched deliveries, open tasks, HU inconsistencies, or stock variances) through proactive monitoring and corrective strategies.
Support existing interfaces between EWM and external warehouse and automation systems such as ASRS, conveyor systems,MESetc. ensuring synchronized operations and real-time communication.
Translate complex business requirements into system configuration or functional specifications, ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Doctorate degreeormaster’s degree in computer scienceor STEM majors and7–8 yearsof SAP implementation experience in SAPWMand EWM.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and10- 12yearsof SAP implementation experience in SAPWM and EWM
Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and14plusyearsof IT or years of SAPimplementation experience inSAPWM and EWM
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
Hands-on SAP WM/SRM (Stock Room Management) and EWM experience, with provenexpertisein solution design and configuration.
Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM, including both embedded and decentralized deployments.
Strong command of EWM core processes, including:
Inbound/Outbound Processing
Put away, Picking, and Replenishment Strategies
Wave and Warehouse Order Creation Rules
Physical Inventory and Stock Reconciliation
Packaging Specifications, RF Framework, and Work Centers
Solid understanding of Logistics Execution (LE) – Shipping, and its integration with EWM and TM for end-to-end delivery management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to coordinate across global teams and take initiative when priorities shift.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems.
Background in Life Sciences, Biotech, or pharmaceutical environments preferred.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software delivery and process improvement.
Professional Certifications:
SAP Certified Application AssociateinSAPEWMorSAP S/4HANA(preferred)
Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Shift Information:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening shift, as required based on business requirements.
