In this vital role you will join the Results Delivery Office (RDO) that drives transformation and builds critical capabilities that enable Amgen to respond to rapid advancements in science and technology within a rapidly changing business environment. We are looking for Program Management Senior Manager to join our team of leaders and liaisons, working on these high-priority initiatives that drive value through changes to our operating model and through simplification of Amgen’s largest, cross-functional, end-to-end processes. The Program Management Senior Manager will will be assigned to the development and execution of one or more transformation initiatives related to Amgen’s core functions, e.g., Operations, R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and/or Corporate Functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This role requires a bold, dedicated leader with the ability to apply advanced project management rigor and ensure speed to impact across Amgen’s most critical initiatives, including:
Collaboration with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with program goals.
Driving execution excellence by developing and maintaining workstream roadmap, program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Tracking, organizing, and monitoring the overall program to ensure successful delivery within the defined scope, schedule and budget.
Liaising and coordinating across transformation and business teams, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies, and managing escalation of issues as needed.
Partnering with RDO capability leads to apply process mapping, realization metrics (KPIs), workshop facilitation, and change management as relevant to workstream needs
Providing regular updates to stakeholders on program progress.
Conducting post-program reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project or Program Management experience OR
Master’s degree and 6 to 8 years of Project or Program Management experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 8 to 12 years of Project or Program Management experience OR
Diploma and 12+ years of Project or Program Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Must Have Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in program management or project management.
Strong knowledge of program management software, such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Jira, Project and MS Office.
Expertise in program management principles and documentation, tools, and templates.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Good to Have Skills
Experience in multi-site project models and client communication skills.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile, or other project management certifications.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in project or program management, along with a successful track record of delivering projects.
