India - Hyderabad APLICAR AHORAAmgen is searching for a Senior Manager of Accounting on itsGlobal Accounting team. This role reports to the Director of Global Accounting Operations. The Senior Manager will be based out of the Amgen India,located in Hyderabad.
This role will lead and manage a team of individuals in theGlobal Cost & Operations Accounting group and will manage a team of offshore individuals who support this area through our outsourced vendor Genpact located in Kolkata, India.
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Provide leadership to the team to execute on all accounting and reporting activities, includingstandard costing activities, site cost accounting support, Automation tools (BOT) maintenance, support month end close activities, review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure compliance with US GAAP, material ledger maintenance, physical inventory count and related roll forwards, inventory reserves, and transfer pricing for Amgen’s manufacturing network, and to ensure US GAAP and other statutory reporting compliance in the related areas
Partner with groups, such as FP&A, Supply Chain, Corporate Tax, Disbursements, and the Technology to ensure proper accounting of inventory
Work with accounting management regarding proper application of US GAAP and company policies and procedures
Serve as lead contact for Corporate External Reporting, Corporate Audit, External Auditors, and Tax Compliance to provide audit/reporting support and analysis
Lead ERP and automation, including Robotics Process Automation,implementations related to Cost & Operations Accounting to ensure proper design, documentation, testing, and training of personnel
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate degree AND 10+ years of finance or cost and inventory accounting experience
OR
Master’s degree AND 12+years of finance or cost and inventory accounting experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree AND 12+ years of finance or cost and inventory accounting experience
AND
3+ years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA
Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Strong technical US GAAP knowledge in Inventory
Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills and be able to bridge culture differences
Detail oriented; strong business analytical skills
Ability to take initiative and work with a minimum level of direction in a fast paced environment
Ability to lead projects and work with cross-functional teams
Team/Contractor supervision experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and technology savvy
Experience working with ERP systems, specifically accounting modules (preferred: SAP S4/HANA)
