The role is responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) strategies to ensure operational resilience and minimize the impact of potential disruptions. This includes overseeing the design and maintenance of comprehensive business continuity plans and IT disaster recovery processes, ensuring that critical business functions and IT systems can be restored efficiently and effectively. The role involves close collaboration with various departments, including IT, operations, and risk management, to integrate resilience into all aspects of the organization's operations. The role includes overseeing BC/DR testing staff and activities, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical and organizational skills, in-depth knowledge of BC/DR practices, and experience in managing staff and cross-functional continuity programs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide input and feedback on Global Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Services strategy, requirements and policies.
- Lead BC/DR staff located at Amgen India, including overseeing day-to-day BC/DR responsibilities and promoting expanded delivery capacity.
- Ensure effective training, cross-skilling and knowledge transfer across the team.
- Provide guidance and feedback to business clients in the development of and improvement of their business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with and provide direction to clients in developing realistic plans and exercises as well as status reporting and metrics
- Drive automation of administrative and operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
- Research, interpret results, and gather information to inform continuous improvement to program standards, procedures, processes, training, templates and tools, metrics and reporting

- Experience in Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field in a multi-national organization
- Experience in managing staff
- Ability to manage priorities for self and for staff in a fast-paced, virtual environment

- Self-motivated with a strong learning agility
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in process simplification, automation and AI
- CBCP or equivalent industry certifications
