ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Senior Data Acquisition Analyst is responsible for coordinating setup and management of external and non-CRF clinical data integrations including central labs, imaging, IRT, eCOA, wearable devices, and API-based integrations. This role supports end-to-end external data acquisition activities, vendor coordination, reconciliation processes, and study readiness while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
This role collaborates with Data Delivery Leads, Database Design teams, vendors, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and study teams to deliver scalable, standardized, and analytics-ready external data solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Coordinate setup and management of non-CRF data integrations including central labs, IRT, imaging, wearable devices, and eCOA systems.
Own assigned integrations end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business and study requirements.
Drive standardization of integration approaches and downstream data consumption awareness.
Develop and maintain vendor data transfer specifications, mapping documentation, and reconciliation requirements.
Partner with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of external datasets.
Review incoming vendor data for formatting, mapping, quality, and reconciliation discrepancies.
Support API-based integrations and external data transfer processes where applicable.
Contribute to vendor oversight and execution of reconciliation activities for external data sources.
Perform reconciliation activities between vendor datasets and CRF/EDC data.
Collaborate with Database Design teams to align external data integrations with study database structures and standards.
Troubleshoot vendor integration, data ingestion, and external data flow issues.
Support study milestone planning and readiness activities related to external data delivery.
Maintain audit-ready documentation, quality tracking records, and integration deliverables.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data integration efficiency.
Accountabilities:
Support timely and accurate acquisition and integration of non-CRF and external datasets.
Assist with development and maintenance of vendor data transfer specifications and reconciliation activities.
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to support study timelines and database readiness.
Maintain operational efficiency, inspection readiness, and adherence to data acquisition standards and processes.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, computer science, health sciences, or related discipline and 5-8 yrs Experience.
Experience in clinical data management, vendor data integration, or clinical operations.
Working knowledge of EDC systems, data transfer processes, and reconciliation activities.
Familiarity with non-CRF data sources such as labs, imaging, eCOA, IRT, or wearable data.
Understanding of GCP, clinical trial workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Preferred Experience:
5–7 years of experience in clinical data management, vendor data integration, or clinical operations.
Experience collaborating with vendors and global study teams.
Exposure to API integrations and external clinical data flows.
Familiarity with centralized monitoring principles and reconciliation methodologies.
Functional Competencies:
Strong understanding of external data structures, vendor data transfer specifications, and end-to-end workflows.
Knowledge of reconciliation concepts with a digital and automation mindset.
Working knowledge of CTMS, eTMF, EDC, and Microsoft Office tools.
Understanding of external/vendor clinical data flows and reconciliation processes.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Familiarity with vendor oversight and reconciliation methodologies.
Ability to identify data discrepancies and coordinate troubleshooting activities.
Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and timelines with moderate supervision.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data quality.
