What you will do

In this vital role you will act as the Engagement Manager for the Salesforce Platform team, serving as the primary bridge between product teams and the platform team. You will coordinate platform support requests, deployment/version requests, QA validation needs, and release readiness activities while ensuring product teams are connected to the right Salesforce platform support teams, release engineers, and architects.
The ideal candidate will have strong Salesforce Business Analyst skills, Salesforce automated testing experience, and integration testing knowledge, along with the ability to manage multiple product-team requests, track timelines,monitordependencies, and drive clear communication across teams. This role requires proactive follow-up, structured status reporting, and the ability to keep product teams, Salesforce Platform Support, Salesforce Platform Release Engineers, QA teams, and Salesforce Platform Architects aligned.
You will support predictable platform delivery bymaintainingvisibility across open platform engagements, release timelines, release counts, support requests, architecture consultation needs, AI consultation requests, QA risks, dependencies, and action items before BRP and throughout the release lifecycle. The individual should bedetail-oriented, collaborative, organized, and comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced enterprise Salesforce environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Serve as the engagement bridge between product teams and the Salesforce Platform team for platform support requests, deployment/version requests, QA clarifications, release coordination, and platform guidance needs.
Intake, track, monitor, and follow up on support requests raised by product teams to the Salesforce Platform Support team, ensuring ownership, status, next steps, blockers, and target timelines are clear.
Coordinate deployment and version requests raised by product teams to Salesforce Platform Release Engineers, helping align release windows, prerequisites, environments, approvals, validation needs, and post-deployment checks.
Connect product teams with Salesforce Platform Architects when architectural suggestions, solution design inputs, integration guidance, platform standards, or governance clarification isrequired.
Collect tentative release timelines and the total number of planned releases from each product team before BRP,consolidatethe inputs, and share them with Salesforce Platform stakeholders for release planning and readiness discussions.
Maintain trackers for platform support requests, deployment/version requests, release counts, product-team timelines, dependencies, risks, blockers, owners, decisions, and action items.
Monitor open engagements across platform support, release engineering, architecture consultation, QA validation, and AI consultation requests; escalate delays, conflicts, dependencies, and risksin a timely manner.
Facilitate working sessions, follow-up meetings, status reviews, and action-item closure across product teams, Salesforce Platform Support, Platform Release Engineers, Salesforce QA, and Salesforce Platform Architects.
Support product teams when they request AI consultation by gathering the business context, clarifying the ask, coordinating with Salesforce Platform Architects, scheduling meetings, and tracking outcomes.
Review business requirements, user stories, release notes, deployment scope, and acceptance criteria toidentifyQA coverage needs, integration testing impacts, release dependencies, and validation risks.
Plan and execute Salesforce QA activities for platform and product changes, including functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, deployment validation, and post-release verification.
Coordinate UAT and QA readiness with product/platformteams by confirming test scope, test data needs, entry and exit criteria, defect status, validation evidence, and go/no-go inputs for releases.
Document meeting notes, release status, QA status, open risks, defect trends, decisions, and stakeholder updates in approved agile, release, and collaboration tools.
Ensure platform engagement, release coordination, and QA activitiescomply withenterprise release governance, security, documentation, data privacy, and Salesforce platform standards.
Build strong working relationships with product teams and platform stakeholders while contributing as a proactive, dependable team member within the Salesforce Platform team.
Must Have Skills
Strong SalesforceQAskills, including requirement clarification, user story review, acceptance criteria analysis, stakeholder communication, process understanding, and issue documentation.
Hands-on experience in Salesforce QA, Salesforce automated testing, functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, UAT support, and release validation.
Experience working with product teams, platform support teams, release engineers, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in a coordination or engagement management capacity.
Ability to track multiple support requests, deployment/version requests, releases, blockers, timelines, owners, dependencies, and risks using structured trackers, dashboards, and status reports.
Good understanding of Salesforce release management, deployment readiness, sandbox coordination, version requests, production release validation, and post-deployment smoke testing.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform fundamentals including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, Flows, approval processes, profiles, permission sets, reports, dashboards, and data model concepts.
Good experiencein integration testing across Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL processes, batch interfaces, queues, events, or file-based data exchanges.
Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability, defect logs, QA status updates, release validation evidence, and UAT support documentation.
Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps,qTest, Zephyr, ALM, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, Postman, SoapUI, Salesforce Data Loader, SOQL, or similar enterprise delivery and testing tools.
Exposure to Salesforce-compatible automation tools such asProvar, Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing, ACCELQ, Tosca, or equivalent automation platforms.
Excellent communication, facilitation, follow-up, stakeholder management, and status reporting skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise Salesforce environment.
Strong teamplayer with a proactive mindset, attention to detail, learning attitude, and commitment to delivering high-quality Salesforce platform outcomes.
Preferred Skills
Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred.
Salesforce Business Analyst, Platform App Builder, or other Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Experience working in a Salesforce platform team, shared services model, center of excellence, or enterprise support and release coordination environment is beneficial.
Knowledge of AI consultation intake, Salesforce AI capabilities,Agentforceconcepts, or AI-enabled business process improvement discussions is desirable.
Exposure to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, or other Salesforce industry/platform capabilities is beneficial.
Good to have exposure to MuleSoft, middleware platforms, API-led integrations, enterprise integration patterns, and data migration validation.
Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Copado deployments, sandbox strategy, release governance, and enterprise application lifecycle management practices is a plus.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models, regulated enterprise environments, and documentation-driven release processes is beneficial.
