The Engineering Projects Senior Manager – Capital Equipment Analytics leads the development and delivery of equipment-focused analytics capabilities supporting global capital projects. This role is responsible for building and scaling centralized analytics capability within AIN, delivering data-driven insights across the full equipment lifecycle - from demand forecasting and procurement through delivery, installation, and reporting.
The role is accountable for leading a high-performing team and ensuring consistent, high-quality analytics that improve visibility into equipment demand, timing, and spend. By integrating equipment data with cost, schedule, and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP), this role enables more accurate forecasting, stronger alignment to project plans, and improved decision-making across project teams.
With a strong focus on standardization and scalability, this role drives the development of data models, digital tools, and reporting solutions that enhance predictability, reduce risk, and improve delivery timelines. As part of the AIN Project Controls organization, this role partners closely with global project controls, procurement, and engineering teams to drive adoption and continuous improvement of equipment analytics capabilities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience in digital procurement, supply-chain analytics, capital-equipment analytics, industrial technology, construction technology, enterprise software, or analytics product development.
- Knowledge of capital equipment procurement, equipment lifecycle management, demand planning, supplier performance, long-lead equipment, bid analysis, and delivery tracking.
- Experience with procurement, Source-to-Pay, purchase orders, supplier data, project schedules, cost systems, installation records, and equipment master data.
- Strong technical background in data engineering, databases, data structures, data modeling, data science, algorithms, APIs, system integrations, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with analytics product management, data-product development, workflow automation, AI/ML, predictive analytics, and UI/UX.
- Exposure to technologies such as Databricks, SAP, n8n, SQL, Python, R, GitLab/GitHub, VS Code, Codex, React, Lovable, and related modern development tools.
- Familiarity with data governance, master data management, equipment taxonomies, data quality, data lineage, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines.
- Supply-chain analytics or digital-procurement-platform experience strongly preferred; comparable experience in another complex operational environment is acceptable.
- Capital-project or construction experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another regulated-industry background preferred.
PREFERRED/GOOD TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Documented experience understanding equipment delivery across projects
- Strong experience with data analytics tools and systems, including Power BI and SAP
- Experience working with capital equipment, procurement, or supply chain data in a project environment
- Experience supporting capital projects in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle processes, procurement workflows, and capital project delivery
- Experience integrating data across cost, schedule, and procurement systems
- Experience building data models, dashboards, and scalable analytics solutions
- Familiarity with automation, data engineering concepts, or advanced analytics techniques
- Demonstrated ability to drive standardization, process improvement, and adoption of analytics solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across global teams
