What you will do
Reporting to the Business Unit Lead, General Medicine, the Business Manager – Inflammation is responsible for:
- Achieving the financial objectives of the inflammation portfolio.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize the patient benefits of Amgen products.
- Developing and executing marketing plans aligned with global and regional guidance to strengthen the brand and grow the business.
- Ensuring all plans and commercial activities uphold the highest standards of integrity and reflect Amgen Values.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management
- Lead a high-performing sales team to achieve commercial goals through high-quality customer engagement.
- Track qualitative and quantitative field force metrics to improve team effectiveness.
- Build team capabilities through field coaching and role-play exercises.
- Develop sales activity plans, including territory planning, coverage, and call frequency.
- Gather and analyze field insights through regular team meetings, and lead competitive workshops when needed.
- Build relationships with key external stakeholders to understand unmet medical needs.
- Identify new business opportunities, build business cases, and secure resources to capture their potential.
Planning, Execution & Cross-Function Collaboration
- Develop the LRS, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts for inflammation products in partnership with the BU Lead, Finance Manager, and Supply Chain.
- Recommend the national budget and sales targets, and align them with the GM and Business Unit Lead.
- Update demand forecasts monthly and partner with Supply Chain to ensure a stable product supply.
- Provide local market insights to JCEL/GCEL through monthly check-ins to inform regional brand direction and keep local tactics aligned.
- Integrate market research and field insights to develop the Country Brand Plan and Local Product Strategy (LPS) for assigned products.
- Design and execute promotional campaigns.
- Develop promotional materials and train the sales team through team and cycle meetings.
- Set call objectives and targeting requirements for sales leaders to shape promotional tactics, and review call performance quarterly with the Sales Manager.
- Define KPIs to monitor and track performance.
- Partner with local medical colleagues to develop disease and product training for the sales team.
- Co-develop the access and advocacy plan with the VAP Lead, define measurable KPIs, and track progress.
- Develop pricing strategies for assigned products.
- Plan and execute hospital formulary listing activities.
- Design and implement Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) and Patient Support Programs (PSPs) as needed.
- Align key advocacy initiatives with brand goals.
- Manage the OSE budget to deliver expected business results.
Compliance
- Ensure all activities, campaigns and materials (1) are reviewed & approved according to the corresponding SOPs; and (2) comply with internal policies and local code of practices.

Qualifications
- At least 8 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 4 years in sales management or marketing.
- Proficient in MS Office, Copilot, and Veeva CRM.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Cantonese.
