Let’sdo this.Let’schange the world. In this vital role you willwillbe responsible forleading a team of maintenance and instrumentation technicians in support of production equipment maintenance activities at Amgen’s manufacturing sitein Holly Springs
This role involves a12 hourrotating shiftthat aligns with24/7 coverage to align withANC Manufacturingshift schedules.
Specific Duties include:
With minimal direction, provide leadership,mentorand technicalexpertiseto a team of 6 to 12 maintenance staff.
Provide field support to troubleshoot,identify, and resolve more sophisticated equipment maintenance issues.
Ensure performance standards are established and consistently enforced.
Ensure work activities are completed correctly. Improve right-first-time completion.
Ensure activities are accomplished in a safe manner.
Ensure high resourceutilization. Enhance staff efficiency.
Ensure work is completed with minimal disruption to site operations.
Manage activities toeliminatewaste and ensureappropriate costof maintenance.
Ensurework is completed in accordance with procedures.
Find opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and manage implementation. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and excellence.
Communicate with key customers and support groups.
Ensureschedulebreaking activities and flow interrupters areidentifiedand addressed.
Manage maintenance service providers insafe,compliantand cost-effective manner.
Develop and manage small improvement projects, as necessary, including driving use of predictive analytics tools.
Be routinely present in the field toobservestaff and activities. Remove obstacles andidentifyand implement opportunities for improvement.
Assessskillsand capabilities ofteam. Ensureappropriate staffdevelopment occurs.
Provide support whenrequired- this may be outside of normal working hours including nights,weekendsand holidays.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Mastersdegree and 3 years of maintenance and/or operations/maintenance experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 5 years ofmaintenance and/or operations/maintenance experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years ofmaintenance and/or operations/maintenance experience
Or
High school diploma / GDE and 12 years ofmaintenance and/or operations/maintenance experience
Or
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must havepreviousmanagerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using a computerized maintenance management system
Bachelor’s degree in life science, technical or aligned field of study
6+ years of relevant work experience in operations/manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience with regulated environments (i.e.cGMP, OSHA, EPA)
Managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams
Experience working with ATO GMP F&E clients and systems (Bulk Manufacturing, Filling and Packaging, Supply Chain, Quality Labs, Small Molecule Manufacturing)
In-depth technical knowledge of GMP equipment and instrumentation
Experience supporting GMP capital project execution and verification activities
Demonstrated leadership attributes as an individual contributor (e.g., leadership of initiatives or participation on network level or continuous improvement teams)
Demonstratedproficiencyin process improvement methodologies
Leverage a strong background in GMP Maintenance combined with excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to support multiple clients and prioritize resources against competing objectives
Troubleshooting, problem-solvingand investigational skills related to electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
