Medical Science Liaison - Cardiology
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as the primary scientific and clinical expert for Opinion Leaders (OLs) and key healthcare stakeholders. This role is responsible for executing Amgen’s Medical Affairs and product strategies, as guided by local Field Medical Leadership, with the goal of delivering accurate, up-to-date, and balanced scientific information to ultimately improve patient outcomes.
This is a field-based position within the Colombia Medical team, reporting to the Scientific Head, with coverage across major cities in the country.

Strategic Execution
- Spend most of the time engaging in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with Cardiology Opinion Leaders and other healthcare stakeholders to advance the scientific platform in alignment with Amgen’s objectives.
- Communicate clinical value, outcomes data, and health economic evidence to payers, providers, access stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Develop and execute a Scientific Engagement Plan aligned with medical and product strategies.
- Connect internal and external stakeholders to enhance Amgen’s reach and improve patient access to therapies.
- Deliver in-depth, balanced scientific and clinical information in compliance with MSL standards and guidelines.
- Support Amgen-sponsored research initiatives, where applicable.
- Engage with potential investigators for non-sponsored research activities, where applicable.
- Provide actionable field insights and medical observations to inform internal strategy and decision-making.
- Support congress activities in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Contribute to speaker training and ensure speakers are up to date with the latest scientific data.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactical execution, as directed by MSL leadership.

- Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional partners to deliver coordinated and seamless One Amgen experience for stakeholders.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced degree required: MD (Physician), PharmD (Pharmacist), PhD, or other equivalent doctoral-level qualifications.
- At least 1 year of Medical Affairs experience or in Cardiology, Diabetes, or Obesity.
- English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Postdoctoral training (e.g., residency and/or fellowship) may be considered as relevant experience.
- An advanced degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related field.
