Medical Advisor – Hematology (Bogotá)
What you will do
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Product(s) lifecycle management.
- Leading and developing the Local Medical strategy and Medical activities for the product(s) in accordance to internal and external regulations.
- TA and/or product specific Medical training.
- Management of internal and external relationships within area of responsibility.
- Ensuring consistency of Medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials.
- Works to identify and address evidence generation gaps in the hematology area, supporting the development of local evidence generation initiatives and scientific data to meet unmet medical needs.
- Participates in the development of International strategies and tactics in close collaboration with other areas.
- Visits selected KOL’s and study groups for strategic discussions and protocol development.
- Partners with the BU Manager in the development and execution of the Local product(s) lifecycle management plan.
- Oversees in-sourced/outsourced Medical programs and logistics.
- Participates in/conducts Local Advisory Board Meetings, Investigator Meetings and/or Expert Panels.
- Provides Medical expertise for pipeline products.
- Provides Medical expertise for Health Economy and reimbursement requests.
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the advancement of LATAM hematology initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in health-related discipline (MD, PharmD, RN, BSc, MSc, or equivalent) and 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related function within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry Or
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related discipline (MD, PharmD, RN, BSc, MSc, or equivalent) and 5years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related function within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Hematology and/or rare hematology diseases is highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing or supporting clinical studies and evidence generation initiatives.
- Experience within an affiliate Medical Affairs organization and/or Clinical Development function
- Solid knowledge of local regulatory, compliance, and ethical requirements governing medical activities.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, lifecycle management, commercialization, and market access processes.
- Finance and budgeting experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with scientific, clinical, and market developments.
- Strong clinical research knowledge (study design, study evaluation, medical writing skills, expert panel conduct, symposium and workshop management, KOL management)
- Strong customer orientation; science based.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team (e.g., Commercial, Clin Development, EU teams, HE, Regulatory, Safety, etc.)
- Role model for others in line with Amgen Values.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
