What happens to my resume when I submit it to Amgen’s Career Center?

Our Talent Acquisition Team reviews all new resumes. If there is a match, your resume will be sent on to the hiring manager. If there’s interest, you will be contacted for additional information and next steps.

When should I expect to hear from Amgen after I apply?

If there is a match, you may hear from us within two to three weeks of your resume submission. If you haven’t heard from us within this time period, please assume your resume was not a match at this time. We will, however, keep your resume on file for future consideration.

What’s the interview process?

First, your resume is reviewed by the Talent Acquisition Team. If there’s a match, you may be contacted by a member of our team for an initial phone screen. Then, you may be asked to participate in a phone interview with the hiring manager. Depending on the phone screen feedback, you may be invited onsite for an in-person interview. The onsite interview can last anywhere from a few hours to an entire day. You may also be invited to participate in a second interview day.

How many rounds of interviews should I expect?

It depends on several factors including the role, position level, availability of all involved in the hiring process and the location of the role. It’s our goal to create an expeditious yet thorough interview process. At Amgen, we work in a highly matrixed organization and our goal is to provide you exposure to not just the hiring manager, but also to some key cross-functional partners for the role. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you….and for you to get to know us!

How do I know my personal information is secure?

We take your privacy seriously. Please read the Amgen Privacy Policy and Career Center Terms of Use. When you apply for positions, you must first create your own unique profile. The information that you provide is only used for exploring employment opportunities with Amgen. We use your information to connect with you throughout the interview process.

I’m graduating soon. How do I apply for a job at Amgen?

To learn about roles for new college graduates, please visit University Relations. You can search for opportunities using the Job Search menu and submit your resume for positions of interest.

Does Amgen hire applicants on a visa?

Yes, we will consider qualified applicants who are currently on a visa.

I do not have a resume. Is one required?

You may supply a resume / CV or upload via LinkedIn.

Is a cover letter required?

A cover letter is not required.

Can I drop-off my resume/CV to an Amgen location?

We have a robust online Career Website and a formal submission process. In order to ensure that your resume goes through the correct review process, please search for a job and apply online.
