Amgen is seeking a Specialist IS Architect – Messaging Admin to join Amgen’s Global Business Services (GBS), Communications, Collaboration, and Compute (CCC) team supporting Office 365, Exchange, and Messaging initiatives. In this high-level role, you will work with the team responsible for deploying and supporting Office 365 and other related technologies. You will be working on high visibility projects and have ownership and administrative responsibilities for Exchange Online, Office 365 tenant, Automation platform and management of MSP.
The IS Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems based out of Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. Global Business Services (GBS), Communications, Collaboration, and Compute (CCC) team that is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen’s messaging and collaboration technologies. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.
Key Activities for the Specialist IS Architect include:
Hands on experience with Office 365 deployment, and architecting and implementing new programs in support of messaging and collaboration, is required.
Interact with Amgen’s, Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Records and Information Management teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized to protect Amgen’s information
Experience with organizational adoption of cloud services (on-premises cloud migration) and working with end users and evangelizing Office 365 services
Experience extending on-premises directory services to Office 365 with strong infrastructure acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and preferably earlier career experience in a technical infrastructure role, such as a system administrator
Deep understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and how other enterprises are employing them
Perform the hands-on technical content development work on their own and deliver readiness training and speaking at employee training events
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience
8+ years of technical background and in depth, hands on delivery experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Exchange 2016 and Office 365 Exchange Online
Proofpoint or other Linux based email firewall
RightFax and eFax
Champion technology advancement within Amgen via frequent interactions, demos, and understand of core business functions
Interact with Vendors to understand & develop joint roadmaps/strategies
Experience managing 3rd Party organizations responsible for the operational support of the service
Demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management
Knowledge of Office 365 and Skype for Business and related voice systems
