The Undergrad-COOP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the Direct Procurement activities of Amgen’s Supply Chain Department.

The candidate is expected to assume leadership in the identification of a raw materials harmonization opportunities across Plants, as well as to address the improvement of key procurement planning tools. In addition, will support any AFP initiatives that are enablers for Pull, E2E Labelling & Procurement Master Data Integrity Audits, among other projects.

The Undergrad-COOP will apply the skills learned at the university in the pharmaceutical industry and learn new ones from hands on experience of work assignment. Key skills include but are not limited to: communication, planning, organization, problem solving, team-working, data monitoring etc. This role will work and/or support real projects under supervision and guidance of highly skilled professionals that will help student to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical field.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Analysis & harmonization of non BOM materials procurement currently comprised of approximately 580 raw materials, with the expectation of a 20% reduction from current baseline
Obtain time efficiencies by pursuing the automation of key manual reports
Develop/assist in developing 2017 OE Pull plan implementation for Direct Procurement
Develop/improve existing process playbooks documentation & database

Basic Qualifications
At least 3.20 GPA (General)
Be in the process of earning a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
Have completed at least 3 year of college education
Be enrolled in university
