In this role you are in the drivers seat to improve the performance of our manufacturing lines and support sustainable growth of Amgen Breda!
You will provide hands-on support to the teams in manufacturing to gather and analyse data, perform trend analysis to visualize and improve the end-to-end value stream.
To drive and execute these cross-functional improvements, you will have the opportunity to provide day-to-day Operational Excellence coaching to your colleagues on the shop floor.
Position Specific Tasks
-Primary focus: Manufacturing -Owns, develops and improves the packaging line performance monitoring tools-Monitors packaging line performance trends and defines actions where needed-Improves existing production processes (such as set-up and close down)-Determines with Production management the packaging line performance targets for set-up & close down, routings and change-overs-Uses LEAN/Six Sigma tools to identify areas for performance and line utilization improvements-Develops business cases for improvement proposals and leads implementation of smaller projects-Collaborates with/Coaches Production operators & Supervisors, Maintenance technicians, Quality and Process Development Engineers on improvement projects-Collaborates with Operations Improvement Project Managers on Strategic Improvement Projects-Bachelor or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering (or comparable Engineering degree) and minimal 5 years experience in the field of Industrial Engineering, performance improvement in Manufacturing operations, Certified Green Belt-Minimal 2 years experience in a highly regulated business environment (such as Pharmaceutical, Food or Chemical industry)-Experience in optimizing internal value streams in a Supply Chain environment-Proven Analytical skills and experience (such as Lean/6Sigma)-Expert in MS Excel-Fluent in English, both oral and written communication
-Dutch language skills-Good understanding of GMP and GDP-Project management skills-Familiar with ERP Systems such as SAPPreferred competencies
