The Global Marketing Program Lead provides support to the Executive Director, Osteoporosis Market Growth and Amgen’s Bone Health franchise. Primary responsibilities include creation of a post-fracture care program strategy with design, development and execution of best-in-class patient care and support programs directed at closing post-fracture care gaps in Osteoporosis. This role has multi-disciplinary aspects and complexity, and is expected to have a significant impact on the near- and long-term success of our portfolio of Bone Health products.

The candidate will partner with integrated-delivery networks (IDNs), advocacy groups, think tanks, industry partners, national thought leaders and other community organizations. Primary responsibilities include innovating and managing programs to optimize and champion issues of mutual interest, identifying and addressing gaps in post-fracture Osteoporosis care.

This position involves close internal collaboration and consultation with Medical Affairs, Managed Care, Advocacy, Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and other functions.

Key responsibilities of this position:

Leading the development of a high quality, integrated global post fracture program strategy with regional variations to meet local needs

Advocating evidence-based disease management programs with independent entities

Providing expertise on post fracture care services to partners (HCP/consumer marketing, advocacy, medical, etc.)

Consulting, integrating and communicating with key stakeholders globally

Closely collaborating with partners in other functions and regions

Effectively managing external partners such as agencies

Leading and/or participating in special department, cross‐functional or team projects

Developing other global marketing programs as directed by ED

Participating and contributing towards other global commercial plans and efforts

Directing and participating in market research

Assessing market and performance data and drawing key insights for effective decision-making

Managing project budgets

Complying with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Amgen activities

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 1 year of Marketing experience
OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 2 years of Marketing experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 5 years of Marketing experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 6 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and 5 years of marketing experience with global HCP/patient programs
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of marketing experience with global HCP/patient programs

Osteoporosis, endocrinology, CV or other broad-based market experience

International (ex-US) experience

An understanding or affinity for healthcare management across a variety of key countries

Experience working on disease state education programs or promotional teams

Knowledge of and experience in working with the promotions legal/regulatory environment

Previous experience working with non-sales force promotional channels

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally

Experience producing business results

Experience managing external partners such as agencies

Record of demonstrating excellent organizational skills

Understanding of broad, global market dynamics and the cultural awareness and sensitivity to form relationships and work effectively with colleagues around the world

Excellent written, verbal and communication and presentation skills
