About Amgen North Carolina

To support Amgen's ever-growing portfolio of medicines for serious illnesses, Amgen has built a new innovative biomanufacturing facility located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, a suburb of the Raleigh-Durham area. The fully standalone, multi-product drug substance site includes approximately 225,000 square feet of buildings that include manufacturing, a warehouse and a multi-story support and laboratory building.

Amgen has invested a total of $550 million in this additional manufacturing capacity to support the company's goal of serving every patient, every time. This new plant will employ 355 highly skilled full-time staff consisting of engineers, maintenance, manufacturing associates, quality, management, and administrative positions.

Using an innovative approach to biologics manufacturing, this new facility will employ some of the most advanced technologies known in the industry. Known internally at Amgen as "FleXbatch," this new plant will support both traditional stainless steel-fed batch manufacturing and next-generation single-use technologies, allowing optimal flexibility to manufacture medicines across the Amgen portfolio.

As Amgen continues to grow, so will the opportunities to join a company who is committed to cultivating a community of diversity, inclusion and belonging. We are proud to be partnered with great organizations such as OneTen, Management Leadership for Tomorrow and many others. Learn more about Amgen's commitment to DI&B here.
